		<description>My mother was a fast knitter and would knit very fast while chatting. Since she was a great talker she would seem to me to be unpicking as much as she knitted, after the friend or relative departed. I know I was frequently given  handfuls of wool to wind back into a ball, which later to be re-knitted.</description>
